To introduce participants to safeguarding adults from abuse, using the Southend, Essex and Thurrock (SET) Safeguarding Adults guidelines, which incorporates the framework as set out in Care Act 2014

Description

  • Understand the principles of making safeguarding personal
  • Understand what Safeguarding is, and your role in Safeguarding Adults
  • Recognise an adult at risk of abuse, and take action as appropriate to your role
  • Understand the procedures for making a safeguarding alert
  • Understand Dignity and Respect when working with individuals
  • Have knowledge of policy, procedures and legislation that supports Adult Safeguarding activities

To increase understanding in the abuse of vulnerable adults
